Rectangular red-lacquered wooden jewelry box –...

Rectangular red lacquered wooden jewelry box – Traditional Chinese style – 20th century Description Object description: Charming Asian-inspired jewelry or storage box, made of bright red lacquered wood. The lid features a central panel illustrating a scene of a traditional Chinese court in a classic, minimalist style. The drawing shows two elegant women in traditional dress (Hanfu) seated on a decorative carpet. One of them plays a traditional wind instrument (Dizi flute), creating an atmosphere of serenity and poetry. The front face of the box is adorned with discreet hand-painted botanical scroll motifs, adding a touch of refinement. Technical features: • Origin: China (Traditional export style) • Era: Second half of the 20th century • Materials: Lacquered wood, traditional-style brass clasp and hinges, patinated • Shape: Rectangular • Interior: Entirely lined with a burgundy protective felt fabric, ideal for preserving jewelry or delicate objects. • Dimensions: • Weight: 450 g Condition: Good overall condition with a very beautiful gloss of the lacquer. Some light minor signs of wear on the decoration and corners, quite normal for a vintage item. The brass clasp works perfectly and the interior fabric is clean. The item will be packaged with great care and shipped with a tracking number.
