Alla auktioner / Mattor & Textilier / Regal Baroque Harmony in Silk Lampasso - Upholstery fabric - 500 cm - 140 cm
This precious silk lampasso fabric for upholstery features a noble, latticed design inspired by the textile decorations of European courts between the 17th and 18th centuries. The motif unfolds through a symmetrical, refined composition, where stylized botanical elements interweave with ornamental scrolls and richly detailed floral patterns. In the center of the composition, ornamental medallions recall ancient decorative crests, surrounded by winding branches, carved leaves, and small flowers that develop with harmonious movement across the entire surface of the fabric. The elegant lines of the design create a rhythmic, balanced structure typical of lampasso fabrics intended for the most refined interiors. The surface is enriched by a sophisticated play of light and reflections: the pale ivory background hosts woven motifs in warm tones of beige and champagne that, thanks to the presence of silk, catch the light with a luminous and delicately three-dimensional effect. The result is a fabric with a noble and sophisticated appearance, capable of evoking classic and timeless atmospheres. Made in silk lampasso with a height of 140 centimeters, this fabric represents one of the most refined expressions of traditional textile art. Lampasso is a complex weaving technique that allows the creation of raised, carved designs with great richness of detail and visual depth. The presence of silk gives the fabric a natural sheen, an elegant softness, and an ideal durability for high-end upholstery applications. The compact structure and the quality of workmanship ensure stability, durability, and a prestigious aesthetic effect. This lampasso is particularly suitable for projects of classic interior design and for elegant environments. It lends itself magnificently to upholstering armchairs, sofas, important seating, and upholstered headboards, enhancing furniture with a traditional style or contemporary reinterpretations of classic taste. It can also be used to create scenographic curtains, decorative panels, decorative cushions, and textile complements for refined living rooms, elegant bedrooms, or representative spaces. Its sophisticated design makes it perfect for interiors inspired by Baroque or Neoclassical style, or for interior design projects seeking to evoke the charm of historic mansions. Lampasso is one of the oldest and most prestigious textile techniques in European tradition. This type of fabric was produced in the great centers of silk such as Venice, Florence, and Lyon, and was often destined for noble residences and royal courts. In aristocratic palaces of the 17th century, it was common to cover entire rooms with coordinated lampasso fabrics for walls, seating, and curtains. These rooms were called rooms of parade and represented the ultimate symbol of wealth and power of the family that owned them. Fabrics like this still retain today that same aura of prestige and timeless elegance. Measures: 5.00 x 1.40 METERS. Washing and Care: To maintain the beauty and quality of your precious fabric over time, it is important to follow some simple care instructions: Washing: It is advisable to hand wash or machine wash on a delicate cycle at a maximum temperature of 30°C. Use a mild detergent free of aggressive bleaches to preserve vivid colors. Drying: Do not use a dryer to avoid damaging the fibers. Dry the fabric in the open air, avoiding prolonged direct sun exposure, which could cause colors to fade. Ironing: Iron at a low temperature, preferably with a cotton cloth over the fabric to avoid direct contact with the iron and keep the surface pristine. Professional cleaning: If used for upholstery or large surfaces, professional dry cleaning is recommended for safer, longer-lasting maintenance. By following these simple guidelines, your fabric will retain its splendor and integrity over time, continuing to enhance your spaces with class and refinement. Fabric
