Rembrandt Van Rijn (1606-1669)

19th-Century European School Portrait of a Young Man in a Gorget and Beret After the celebrated "Tronie" types by Rembrandt van Rijn (1606-1642). A fine oil on reinforced panel depicting a young man in profile. Oil on panel (reinforced), 48 × 37 cm (+ period compilmentary oval frame in carved wood and gilt stucco). Fine overall condition for a work of this age. Features a natural, historic craquelure, minor structural cracks, and faint paint loss This artwork serves as a highly elegant statement piece, ideal for enthusiasts of Old Master aesthetics and cabinet of curiosities decor.
