THE LAST JOURNEY — 1979 Watercolor on paper — original Artwork — signed — dated 1979 A figurative Artwork of an expressive nature, created in 1979. The composition depicts a rider accompanied by his animal, in a scene dominated by a silent atmosphere, almost suspended in time. The human figure, dressed in light tones with red details, contrasts with the animal's body and the luminous background, constructed with free brushstrokes and patches of color. The Artwork's interest lies precisely in its spontaneity: the artist does not seek a photographic representation, but rather to convey the character, movement, and atmosphere of the scene through the brushstroke. The white, gray, ochre, brown, and red tones create a sober palette, while the red elements of the clothing provide the main point of visual tension. The Artwork can be interpreted as an image of travel, waiting, or return. The rider appears isolated within an open space, creating a sense of a journey and an untold story. A 1979 watercolor with an expressive and spontaneous aesthetic, especially interesting for collectors of 20th-century figurative painting and for those seeking original Artworks with personality and a strong visual presence.
