HO scale (1:87), length over buffers 23.7 cm. 3-rail AC. Delivered in 2003. EAN 9005033699178. Background The 'Ludmilla' is the heavy Russian diesel locomotive that entered service from 1973 as series 132 with the Deutsche Reichsbahn and, after German reunification, continued as BR 232 with the DB. Railion Netherlands put a small group of 232s into service in the Netherlands in the early 2000s for freight trains, partly renumbered into the 232 9xx series. The example of this model, originally DR 132 161-1, operated around 2003–2005 as RN 232 902-7 – a short and typical Dutch chapter in the history of this locomotive. Finely printed model with motor with flywheel and Cardan drive. Three-point front lighting and two red tail/marker lights that change with the direction of travel. The locomotive has been tested and runs excellently. The front and tail lights switch with the direction of travel. Note: sound removed This model was delivered by Roco ex works with a sound decoder. In this unit the sound decoder and loudspeaker have been removed and replaced by an ESU LokPilot 5 multiprotocol decoder without sound. The locomotive therefore has no sound functions remaining.
