Louis Antoine Auguste de ROHAN-CHABOT (1733–1807), 6th Duke of ROHAN in 1775, Lord of BLAIN (Loire-Atlantique) – Letter signed “The Duke of ROHAN,” written from the Château de BLAIN (sic Blein) on May 19, 1778, to Mr. VISDELOU DE LISCOUET. 1 page, in-8°: “I would be very flattered, Sir, to have the pleasure of seeing you here along with your brothers-in-law; but there is no need for you to go to the trouble of coming here to present your title deeds for the lands of UZEL (Côtes-d’Armor) and LA MOTTE D’ONON (a locality in the Côtes-d’Armor). Please have them delivered to PONTIVY (Morbihan) to Mr. QUERANGAL, who will report them to me; upon which my counsel will examine the matter, and if his opinion does not align with yours, we will have the matter decided by arbitrators. This procedure is so simple that it could be concluded even during your absence; it may also, Sir, be postponed until after your return, as you prefer; but I would be sorry if this were to require you to make any trips.
