Rolling Stones - Doom And Gloom (UK/Europe) – 2012 RSD...

A distinctive Record Store Day Black Friday exclusive from 2012, this 10-inch single-sided pressing of "Doom And Gloom" stands apart as one of the more conceptually ambitious modern Rolling Stones vinyl releases. Issued by Universal under catalogue number 3723278 in a strictly limited run of 1,500 copies for independent record shops, the release departs from conventional single format by presenting the Jeff Bhasker Mix on the playing side while the reverse is fully etched with a special Rolling Stones design—transforming the record into as much a display and collector's piece as a functional playable release. The Bhasker Mix delivers a punchy, contemporary edge to the track while retaining the band's classic blues-rock attack. "Doom And Gloom" itself carries particular weight in the Stones' later discography: recorded in Paris in 2012, it marked the first time Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood had recorded together in seven years, since the sessions for A Bigger Bang. The track was subsequently introduced as one of two new songs on the band's 50th-anniversary compilation GRRR!. ⸻ Sleeve (EX): The original picture sleeve remains in Excellent condition, clean and highly presentable with only minimal handling marks. The original red inner sleeve is also present and well preserved → EX Vinyl (EX): The playing side retains strong gloss with only very light superficial signs of use. The etched reverse also presents exceptionally well, remaining a key visual feature of this limited edition → EX ⸻ Details * Record Store Day Black Friday 2012 exclusive * Limited to 1,500 copies * UK / Europe pressing * Universal, catalogue 3723278 * 10-inch vinyl * 45 RPM * Single-sided pressing * A-side: Doom And Gloom – Jeff Bhasker Mix * B-side: etched / non-playing design * Original picture sleeve * Original red inner sleeve * Pressed in the Netherlands * Barcode 602537232789
