Rolling Stones - Out Of Our Heads (Japan) – RARE 1972...

A highly collectible 1972 Japanese white label promo pressing of The Rolling Stones' Out Of Our Heads, issued on London Records / King Records under catalogue number SLC-413. This is not the earlier 1966 Japanese SLH 36 edition, but rather a distinctive 1972 reissue with its own locally produced sleeve presentation and Japanese running order. What makes this copy especially desirable is its white label promo / sample configuration, produced for promotional use rather than standard retail distribution. Japanese promotional Stones LPs from this period are considerably less commonly encountered than their stock-label counterparts, and this copy is made even more attractive by the survival of all original accessories. The album opens with "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" and includes essential early Stones material such as "The Last Time," "Play With Fire," "The Spider And The Fly," "Mercy, Mercy," "Hitch Hike," "Cry To Me" and "That's How Strong My Love Is" — a programme that captures the band at the pivotal moment when they were transitioning from their rhythm & blues roots toward the harder-edged original songwriting that would define the rest of the decade. ⸻ Sleeve (VG+): The original Japanese sleeve is exceptionally well preserved, with only light signs of age and handling. The presentation is clean and tidy throughout, sitting very close to EX condition overall, with no major distracting wear or damage → VG+ OBI / Insert: Original OBI strip and original Japanese insert both present and intact, completing the highly desirable promotional package. Labels: White promotional labels remain very clean and impressively preserved, befitting this promo copy's careful handling. Vinyl (NM): The vinyl is in superb Near Mint condition, retaining a beautiful deep original gloss with extremely little evidence of previous play or handling → NM ⸻ Details * Japan, 1972 * London Records / King Records * Catalogue SLC-413 * White label promo / sample pressing * Stereo * American-style Out Of Our Heads repertoire with Japanese running order * Original OBI included * Original Japanese insert included * Original locally produced Japanese sleeve
