Romanesque Virgin "Sedes Sapientae" from the end of the 13th century

Descriptio Very important polychrome wood carving with the Child Jesus sitting on his lap and holding the Marian rose in his right hand. It preserves a large part of its original polychrome, we can date this work between the year 1350 and 1440, most likely coming from the north of Castile, Burgos. Measurements: 70 x 30 x 20 cm. Ex-private collection, Madrid, Spain. Due to its age and history of use, this lot may show signs of wear and previous interventions.
