Description: Item/Description: Original satirical illustration by the celebrated British artist and caricaturist Ronald William Fordham Searle (English, 1920-2012) in his iconic artistic style of energetic, spiky fountain-pen linework mixed with delicate, atmospheric watercolor washes. Signed lower right. The classic British satire drawing captures an eccentric, elderly gentleman resting in an oversized wingback chair inside a grand, stately library, holding an antique ear trumpet up to his ear, his dog resting his head on the man's lap. Matted and adhered to foamboard.
