Rosenthal - Ambrogio Pozzi - Vase (3) - Totem - Biscuit porcelain

Dear Bidders, thank you for your interest in my offer. I'm offering here a set of sculptural porcelain vases from the Totem series designed by Ambrogio Pozzi for Rosenthal. Created in the 1980s, the design reflects the distinctive postmodern aesthetic of the period, combining geometric purity with a strong architectural presence. Each vase features a cylindrical base topped with a fan-shaped form decorated with rhythmic, stepped ridges that create striking light and shadow effects. The minimalist white porcelain highlights the sculptural quality of the pieces and emphasizes their graphic, almost totemic silhouette. Ambrogio Pozzi, an Italian designer known for his innovative work with porcelain, created several iconic designs for Rosenthal, one of Germany’s most renowned porcelain manufacturers. The Totem series is considered a characteristic example of late 20th-century European design, where functionality meets bold artistic expression. Elegant both individually and as a group, these vases function as decorative objects even without flowers, making them a striking addition to modern, postmodern, or minimalist interiors.
