Rosenthal - Prof

Dear Bidders, I'm offering here a beautiful Rosenthal Studio-Line two iconic porcelain vases created by internationally acclaimed designers. The tall vase belongs to the Vibrations series, designed by Prof. Dieter Mankau, whose distinctive relief pattern was originally conceived in 1972 and reflects the dynamic interplay of light, texture and movement. The sculptural vase is the Fast model by French designer Cédric Ragot, introduced in 2007. Its fluid, organic form captures the illusion of frozen motion, making it one of Rosenthal's most recognizable contemporary designs. Both pieces embody the innovative spirit of Rosenthal Studio-Line and are outstanding examples of modern German porcelain design with strong sculptural character. SOME GENERAL INFORMATIONS: Rosenthal, founded in 1879 in Selb (Germany), is known for high-quality porcelain and long standing collaborations with leading designers of the 20th century — theirs is a legacy of merging art and industrial design in timeless creations. Dieter Mankau, born in 1941 in Mazany, Poland, studied industrial design for 5 years at the Werkkunstschule Kassel and since 1972, after graduation, deepened his knowledge in experimental environmental design at the Braunschweig University of Art. At the beginning of the 70s, he devoted himself to various research and industrial development projects for prestigious companies such as Olympia, Rollei, Blaupunkt and others. It also welcomes the proposal made by Dietrich Müller, director of Rosenthal Design Studio, to implement his creative role in experimental glass and porcelain objects through technological ideas. Cédric Ragot was a talented French industrial designer known for his innovative and expressive work with brands like Rosenthal, Roche Bobois, Paco Rabanne, LaCie, Krups and others. He studied at the École nationale supérieure de création industrielle (ENSCI-Les Ateliers) and set up his own design studio in Montreuil, France, in 2002. His creations won multiple awards and are included in significant design collections around the world.
