Sagrasse (Sandro Grassetti, born 1966) is a Marche-born artist whose life roots itself in artisanal mastery. For forty years he has worked in the shadow of his workshop in a small municipality among the hills of Marche, specializing at the highest level in resin work, painting, and chroming. The turning point of his life comes with the COVID-19 pandemic: the forced lockdown and the suspend of time transform into an emotional catalyst, pushing him to unleash the artistic urgency he had always held inside. What for decades had been "only" a technique of excellence thus becomes the means to give life to modern, vibrant, and ironic pop sculptures.
