Sagrasse (Sandro Grassetti, born in 1966) is a Marche-born artist whose life is rooted in artisanal craftsmanship. For forty years he has worked in the shadow of his workshop in a small municipality among the hills of Marche, specializing at the highest levels in resin processing, painting, and chrome-plating. The turning point of his life arrives with the COVID-19 pandemic: the forced lockdown and the suspension of time become an emotional catalyst, pushing him to unleash the artistic urgency he had always kept inside. What for decades had been "only" a technique of excellence thus becomes the means to give life to modern, vibrant, and ironic pop sculptures.
