DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK We offer at auction a refined work by Salvatore Magazzini, entitled "Marrakech" and executed in oil on panel. The painting depicts one of the artist's most iconic and beloved subjects, famous for his travel notes that capture warm atmospheres and the unmistakable North African architectures. Through heavily textured brushwork, a skilled use of the palette knife, and strong color contrasts, Magazzini conveys the charm and vibrant light of the Moroccan city, merging formal synthesis and emotion. Our gallery has been dealing in the artist’s work for years, and it has been shown in numerous solo, group, thematic exhibitions and surveys. BIOGRAPHICAL NOTES AND CRITICISM ON THE ARTIST Salvatore Magazzini (Pistoia, 1955) is a renowned Italian painter, internationally known for his unmistakable landscape painting. He began exhibiting very young, in 1969, and soon made “travel” the fulcrum of his artistic and personal investigation. His panels and canvases are true visual diaries through which he fixes the impressions of the places visited: from his beloved Tuscany to the dazzling lights of Morocco, to the metropolitan views of New York, Paris, Los Angeles and Latin America. Characterized by a post-impressionist language and a strongly expressive use of color, Magazzini boasts a very substantial exhibition CV. He has held over a hundred solo exhibitions in major Italian and foreign galleries (including cycles in France, the United States, Switzerland, Colombia, Japan and Morocco) and a constant presence at the world’s leading contemporary art fairs. His works are today part of prestigious public and private collections worldwide. SHIPPING AND PACKING Packing: We guarantee professional, rigid, and customized reinforced packaging designed to preserve the work’s total integrity during transit, protected against shocks, folds, and humidity. Courier: Tracked, fast, and secure shipment via express courier. Shipping notes: Shipping costs, which may seem slightly higher than average, reflect the special care we give to packaging and the choice of reliable couriers. The indicated timings on the platform are approximate. We generally ship within the stated terms, sometimes even earlier. However, during periods of heavy traffic or if issues arise (e.g., strikes), shipments may shift by a few days. In such cases, we typically keep the purchaser informed of the order status and keep the package ready to be shipped on the first available business day. If it falls on a Friday, we postpone the shipment to Monday to avoid risky storage in warehouses over the weekend. Customs and Export (Non-EU): For buyers residing outside the European Union, shipping may require the technical time needed to obtain the Export License from MiC (Ministry of Culture). Any customs duties are borne by the buyer. Invoicing: Professional seller. The work will be accompanied by a tax receipt (or electronic invoice, available upon sending your details at the moment of bidding for the lot). Frames and glass: The frame, if present, is part of the sale but to be considered a complimentary item, so no claims regarding its condition will be accepted. Conditions are always exhaustively stated in the description. If glass is present, it will be included in the sale only if the lot is collected in person from our gallery. If shipping is involved, the glass is always removed and therefore never to be considered included in the sale.
