2005, fabricated CORTEN steel, in the form of (3) hexagonal paneled structures with spiny projects, stamped signature and date to the longest curve. 10 1/2 x 9 1/2 x 7 3/4 in. Inspired by natural bone forms, rural technology, and geometric structure, sculptor Sam Spiczka has produced a distinctive body of work that is both modern and intensely primal, public yet deeply personal. Using industrial fabrication techniques, he crafts captivating physical objects which exist simultaneously in a forgotten past and an imagined future. Welcome to his world.
