Santicri Mixed Media Dimensions: 90x50x15 cm The work is accompanied by the hand-signed Certificate of Authenticity Limited edition x/8 This contemporary canvas arises from the encounter between one of the most famous symbols in art history and a contemporary visual language. Michelangelo's David head is reinterpreted and dragged out of its sculptural dimension, transforming into a presence suspended between matter, image, and color. The faucet becomes a true temporal gateway: from it the sculpture seems to be sucked in and simultaneously returned in a new form. The matter and the color that emanate from it represent the passage from classical art to a contemporary vision, in which a past icon is fragmented, transformed and reassembled. The work thus reflects on the relationship between memory and transformation, showing how a masterpiece can continue to live even when removed from its original context and reinterpreted through a completely different language. The fusion between the monumental David and the everyday contemporary element of the faucet creates a deliberately disorienting contrast: art history is not simply cited, but seems to be literally dragged into the present and transformed into new creative material.
