Sculpture

An imposing and richly detailed bronze equestrian statue of Louis XV on horseback, executed in the tradition of classical French bronze sculpture. The sovereign is depicted in historic costume with a tricorne hat and hunting horn, seated upon a powerfully advancing horse. The lively pose of the horse, the refined execution of the clothing and tack give this sculpture a strong impression of movement, grandeur and craftsmanship. The warm brown patina accentuates the fine modeling and numerous details. The piece stands on a heavy black marble plinth, which adds extra luxury and stateliness to the presentation. A signature is visible on the bronze base; see the detail photo. A large and pronounced statement piece for a hall, library, office, classical interior, or high-end modern living spaces.
