Scultura africana in legno massiccio (ebano) intagliato a...

Hand-Carved African Bust in Solid Wood - 35 cm Refined dark wood sculpture depicting an African face with traditional headdress. The work stands out for exceptional craftsmanship and strong visual impact, playing on the contrast of surfaces. Details of the Carving: The figure's face is sculpted with harmonious and serene features, highlighted by a smooth finish and skillfully polished to bring out the natural beauty and solidity of the wood. Framing the face are an imposing bell-shaped headdress and a collar worked with meticulous raised geometric motifs. These sections feature a rough texture and a scale-like pattern that create a magnificent tactile and visual contrast with the face's smoothness. The sculpture's profile shows perfect proportion of volumes and the care bestowed on each single incision. Base and Material: The sculpture rests on a solid, flat base that bears the authentic marks of hand craftsmanship and the natural grain of solid wood. The work is in excellent condition. It has been strictly kept in an optimal indoor environment, dry and well tempered. The material remains intact, solid and retains its original patina. A piece of ethnic craftsmanship of great value and visual presence. Ideal for enriching an African art collection or as a sophisticated interior design element to give warmth and character to any space.
