Sea Snail Sea shell - S-450 CHICOREUS RAMOSUS

Beautiful, very large shell Chicoreus Ramosus—popularly known as ramure murex or branched murex—is a species of predatory marine snail, a mollusk in the Muricidae family, the murex snails. C. ramosus has a large, solid, very durable and heavy shell. It has a relatively spherical outline, a short spire, a slightly inflated body whorl, and a moderately long siphonal canal. One of the most striking ornaments are the eye-catching, leaf-like, curved, hollow digits. It also features three axial varices on the whorls, with two elongated nodes between them. Externally the shell is colored from white to light brown, with a white aperture, usually pink toward the inner edge, the outer lip and the columella. Dimensions - 175/200/240 mm. I highly recommend it to collectors and interior decorators.
