Second Empire Gilded copper medal honoring the ministers of Napoleon III, based on a design by A. Mire. Obverse: The Emperor in left profile, with a laurel wreath around his head. Reverse: “Honor to the men of heart who work courageously to consolidate the government of His Imperial Majesty. They seek the happiness of France.” Diameter: 5 cm—Lanyard loop without ribbon, minor nicks on the edge. Included is a silver-plated brass pendant depicting Napoleon II, known as “the Eaglet,” in the wings and talons of the imperial eagle.
