Secrétaire - Walnut

Antique Biedermeier secretary with a drop-down writing surface, a beautifully figured wooden surface, and numerous small drawers and secret compartments. Particularly striking are the lively grain of the veneer, the dark writing surface, and the architecturally designed interior with the small middle compartment. The furniture appears imposing. The piece was professionally restored about 10 years ago (hand shellac finish) and is currently in very good used condition. The carcass is probably softwood, yet very sturdy (photo). The wood veneer (walnut) is in a warm honey- to golden-brown and in very good condition. Only a small dent between two drawers. The main compartment and the writing surface are lockable. Original keys present. The furniture can be viewed and picked up in Bochum. No shipping possible!
