Seiko Sportura Chronograph Alarm – Titanium – Quartz – 2002 – Sapphire Crystal – Full Set A distinctive Seiko Sportura Chronograph Alarm, purchased in 2002, combining the technical character of Seiko’s Sportura collection with a lightweight titanium construction and a sophisticated multi-function quartz movement. The watch features a deep black dial with contrasting luminous hands and indexes, three subsidiary registers and a date window positioned at 3 o’clock. The combination of the sculptural titanium case, integrated bracelet and exposed bezel screws gives the watch the technical, performance-oriented aesthetic characteristic of the Sportura collection. This example is particularly attractive as it is accompanied by its original Seiko Sportura presentation box and original warranty card, documenting the purchase date as 9 May 2002. The warranty card also indicates Case No. 7T62-0A6G, corresponding to Seiko’s quartz chronograph/alarm movement family. The titanium case and bracelet show scratches, surface marks and normal wear from previous use. The case back also presents visible scratches and marks, while retaining clear factory engravings, including the Seiko logo, reference, serial number, titanium designation and water-resistance information. The black dial is well preserved overall, with the hands, indexes, chronograph registers and date display remaining clearly legible. The sapphire crystal appears well preserved, with any signs of use consistent with the overall condition of the watch. The original titanium bracelet is present and shows normal signs of wear. An important advantage of this example is the presence of the original Seiko Sportura box and warranty card, with matching model information and a documented purchase date from 2002. The watch has not been tested for water resistance. Despite the original 10 BAR / 100M specification, current water resistance is not guaranteed. Please study all photos carefully, as they are part of the description and show the actual condition of the item. Story & Heritage The Seiko Sportura collection was created around the idea of high-performance sports watches, combining advanced Japanese watchmaking technology with bold, contemporary design. Sportura models became particularly recognizable for their sculptural cases, integrated bracelets, chronograph complications and motorsport-inspired aesthetic. At the heart of this example is Seiko’s 7T62 quartz calibre, a multifunction movement combining precise timekeeping with chronograph, alarm and date functions. Together with the lightweight titanium construction, sapphire crystal and original 100-metre water-resistance specification, it reflects Seiko’s approach to technically capable sports watches at the beginning of the 21st century. The original box and warranty documentation add another dimension to this example. Rather than being an anonymous pre-owned watch, it retains part of its documented history, including its May 2002 purchase date. A characterful early-2000s Seiko for collectors of Sportura models, Japanese chronographs and technically focused sports watches, especially appealing as a documented example with its original accessories.
