Seiko Tank – Rectangular Case – Black Dial – Japanese Quartz Movement – 1980-1989 An elegant vintage Seiko Tank-style quartz wristwatch, featuring a refined rectangular case, striking black dial and minimalist gold-tone details. The watch presents a classic architectural design inspired by the rectangular watches that became enduring symbols of understated elegance. The deep black dial is particularly attractive, creating a strong contrast with the slim applied gold-tone hour markers and matching hands. Its relatively slim proportions and clean two-hand configuration give the watch a sophisticated, timeless appearance, while the reliable Seiko quartz movement makes it practical for everyday use. Story & Heritage Seiko is one of Japan’s most important watch manufacturers, with a history dating back to 1881. Over the decades, the company became internationally recognised for combining technical innovation, dependable movements and an exceptionally broad range of watch designs. Seiko played a particularly important role in the development of quartz wristwatches. Following the introduction of the Seiko Astron in 1969, quartz technology increasingly transformed the global watch industry, and during the following decades Seiko produced an extensive range of precise and elegant quartz watches. This rectangular example reflects the refined side of that era. Its elongated case, minimalist two-hand display and black-and-gold colour combination create a distinctly elegant appearance while retaining the practicality of Japanese quartz technology. The rectangular “Tank” format has remained a timeless watch design for more than a century, and this Seiko offers an attractive interpretation with unmistakable 1980s character. A refined vintage Seiko for collectors and enthusiasts of elegant rectangular watches and classic Japanese quartz design. Internal Reference Number - FLO-150
