For sale is an extraordinarily beautiful four-piece antique parade bed linen set from a French trousseau dating from the Belle Époque (ca. 1890–1910). The set impresses with masterful workmanship and consists of a fine, densely woven fabric (very high-quality half-linen/metis or Mako cotton), which feels wonderfully smooth and cool to the touch. Special details: - Elaborate handwork: Beautiful white embroidery with raised relief flower motifs, delicate eyelet lace (Broderie Anglaise), and artistically pleated borders. - Monogram: All pieces bear the identical, elegantly intertwined Art Nouveau monogram “AL” in raised satin-stitch embroidery. - Elegant lace: The edges are adorned with broad, handmade bobbin lace (in the style of Cluny/Le Puy). - Historical function: The sheets are original oversheets (Draps du dessus) with buttonholes for fastening to the top cover.
