Giclée on cotton museum canvas 380g + certificate of authenticity UNFRAMED An elegant pictorial reinterpretation transports the famous seventeenth-century portrait into a contemporary and surprising dimension. The noble pose and soft light remain faithful to the original, but the face is the unmistakable visage of Bowie: sharp features, magnetic gaze, and an enigmatic aura that dialogues perfectly with the deep red turban. The fusion is so natural it seems predestined, as if that modern icon had always been there, suspended between Baroque aristocracy and rock charisma. “Art is not about representing new things, but representing them with novelty.” Slasky is a renowned Italian artist whose works have been shown in solo and group exhibitions internationally. The artist has the ability to fuse classical artworks with techniques of contemporary digital art. With his neo-urban classic style, he combines tradition and modernity, bringing the protagonists of the original artworks into contemporary social and artistic environments. Selected Exhibitions (2015 — 2026) Institutional highlight: Long Live Rembrandt, Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam, 2026.
