BLUE NATURAL SODALITE BRACELET – 5 OVAL CABOCHONS – STERLING SILVER 925 1. Mineral identification Natural blue sodalite, an ornamental mineral valued for its intense cobalt blue color. 2. Chemical composition Na8(Al6Si6O24)Cl2. Sodium aluminum silicate with chlorine, belonging to the feldspathoid group. 3. Description of the piece Elegant bracelet formed by five oval cabochons of sodalite, individually set and linked by articulated joints. 4. Color and characteristics Deep cobalt blue, with blue clouding, purplish tones and mineral veining that create unique patterns in each stone. 5. Mineralogical quality Good color intensity and an attractive combination of the five cabochons. Internal variations add personality and singularity. 6. Cut and polish Oval cabochons with a convex surface, polished to enhance the color and natural patterns of the mineral. 7. Mounting Sterling silver 925, an alloy consisting of 92.5% silver and 7.5% other metals. Bezel settings and articulated joints. 8. Design Classic, timeless jewelry style. The articulation provides flexibility and a comfortable fit on the wrist. 9. Geological origin Sodalite is found in alkaline igneous rocks. Notable producing countries include Brazil, Canada, Namibia, and Russia. The precise provenance of this piece is not documented. 10. Mineralogical properties Approximate hardness 5.5–6 on the Mohs scale. Vitreous to greasy luster and cubic crystal structure. 11. Authenticity and counterfeits Sodalite can be mistaken for lapis lazuli and dyed materials. This piece shows the visual characteristics of sodalite, with clouds and color variations typical of the mineral. No gemological certificate is provided. 12. Tests performed Visual examination through enlarged photographs of the cabochons, their veining, coloration, and settings. The silver composition can be verified by XRF (X-ray fluorescence) analysis. 13. Condition and presentation Bracelet with five set stones and a lobster clasp with an adjustable chain. The piece is delivered with photographed images. Gemological curiosities The name sodalite comes from its sodium content. Although it shares the striking blue color of lapis lazuli, it has its own mineralogical identity. In fact, sodalite can also be part of the composition of lapis lazuli. Care tips Avoid shocks, perfumes, chemicals, and ultrasonic cleaning. Clean gently with a slightly damp cloth and dry afterwards. Store separately from harder jewelry to preserve the polish. Vendor profile Chus – Authentic Minerals Selection of minerals and jewelry based on over 40 years of international business experience, with technical, aesthetic, and commercial criteria. Authenticity, discernment, and real value. It’s not just about buying; it’s about knowing how to choose.
