Alla auktioner / Diverse / Stand - Rattan, Wood - Vintage rattan/bamboo pedestal - flower stand/column
Vintage rattan/bamboo pedestal (or flower stand/column) based on the distinctive "pencil reed" design. This piece of furniture was a prominent addition to the Mid-Century Modern and Hollywood Regency styles, most often dating back to the 1970s and 1980s. Its shape is reminiscent of classical Greek columns, but thanks to the use of natural materials, it exudes a clean, bohemian (boho chic) atmosphere. Ideal for elegantly highlighting plants, sculptures or decorative objects in the home. Origin of design and style: ItalyAlthough the object was a favorite element of the global Hollywood Regency and Mid-Century Modern styles, the "pencil reed" technology and form itself, constructed from thin strands, reached its peak in the Italian luxury home furnishings of the 1970s. The most important Italian designers and studios of the era created this trend:Gabriella Crespi: The world-famous Italian designer made minimalist yet extremely elegant furniture and accessories made from bamboo and thin reed strands (pencil reed) iconic. It is in good condition, stable, the reeds are not loose anywhere, there are minor signs of use. We can post it carefully packaged, in an insured, registered package.
