Stanton - 681 Triple-E Turntable cartridge with stylus

For the discerning audiophile and vinyl collector, Catawiki presents an absolute top find that rarely, if ever, appears on the market in this condition: a legendary Stanton 681 Triple-E Moving Iron (MI) turntable element in guaranteed, unused new-old-stock (NOS) condition. The Stanton 681 series enjoys iconic status worldwide and has for decades been regarded as the official studio standard (Calibration Standard) for radio broadcasts and master studios due to its extremely linear, warm, and detailed sound character. This particular example is a true time capsule from September 1975 and was purchased at the respected quality store Muziekhandel van Leest in Eindhoven for FL. 290,- (a substantial amount at the time). What truly makes this lot unique for collectors is the complete documentation and matching numbers. The unique serial number F3210, hand-engraved on the side of the metal cartridge, exactly matches the original, hand-drawn factory calibration report. The set is 100% complete and includes: • Stanton 681 Triple-E Cartridge: In pristine condition with the original unused stylus (D6800EEE) and the iconic integrated Longhair brush. • Luxury Walnut Wood Presentation Box: Featuring the original blue velvet insert, the metal Stanton emblem, and the brass hinges in perfect working order. • Gold-Colored Accessory Case (Pillbox): Including the complete and original set of mounting screws and weights in the original plastic bag. • Original Mini-Screwdriver: The rare, two-part metal precision screwdriver with a serrated grip and convenient hanging eye. • Original Purchase Receipt: Issued on September 28, 1975 by Muziekhandel van Leest N.V. in Eindhoven. • Individual Calibration Report (Calibration Performance Data): Handwritten by the Stanton technician, specific to serial number F3210. • Original Documentation: Including the unused Warranty Registration Card (Owner’s Copy) and the official introductory brochure. Condition of the item: Absolute new condition / New Old Stock (NOS). The element and all accessories have been carefully preserved and have never touched a turntable arm or a vinyl record. The documents and the wooden box are in beautiful, fresh condition with no notable signs of aging. A unique opportunity to acquire an untouched piece of audio history in the most complete form imaginable. Good luck with the bidding!
