Description and context: The sculpture consists of three parts: a body with a curved neck and stylized head, two round rod legs and a cast foot. The legs are fixed to the foot from underneath with recessed crosshead screws. The foot shows two overlapping leaf shapes with radiating veined relief; the underside is flat and brushed and the casting edge is not finished. Traders classify this type as Hollywood Regency-style brass bird figures. Comparable pieces with the same leaf foot are traded as anonymous vintage offerings, without a maker named. Therefore no maker is claimed. Condition: Good. Body: light scratches and some patches where a polish layer or varnish appears worn. Foot: light scratches on the underside. Leg and beak joints: small green copper salt spots. Casting edge of the foot: production-specific, no damage. No cracks, bends or missing parts observed. See the images. Offered as a decorative object. In the interior: Fits in a Hollywood Regency, mid-century or eclectic interior, on a sideboard or console table. The light body catches the light, the thin legs keep the figure airy. Shipping: Professionally packed in a sturdy box with cushioning material, for fragile objects a double box. Always insured, shipped with Track and Trace. See feedback from previous buyers. Attribution and sources: No maker has been established and is not claimed. India is the best-supported direction for this kind of series production in brass and is therefore named as attribution. A Dutch or Italian factory is not demonstrated; the documented Milanese flamingos of 1970-1975 are a different type. Provenance and dating rest on trade offers and are indicative.
