Statue, La Paolina Borghese - 55 cm - Bronze

We propose an elegant bronze sculpture that faithfully reproduces the absolute masterpiece of Antonio Canova: Paolina Borghese as Venus Victrix. The figure, laid with aristocratic grace on the famous daybed finely decorated, embodies the ideal of classical beauty and harmony. The work stands out for an excellent rendering of details, from the soft drapery of the folds to the features of the face and the floral ornaments that adorn the base of the sculpture. The dark patina of the bronze gives the sculpture deep chromatic intensity, heightening the play of light and shadow and making it a furnishing piece of great charm, perfect to enrich a study, a salon, or an art display. Italian origin, 20th century. Lost-wax casting. Conditions good as shown in the photos. Dimensions: 93x55x29 cm.
