For sale is an original, classic Quillery steering wheel (model number M576, Paris) for the Peugeot 404. It dates from the 1960s. The steering wheel is in an age-appropriate, superb condition with only minimal signs of wear, and in this preservation it is an absolute rarity for collectors and restorers. Details & Condition: Material & Rim: The Bakelite is absolutely crack-free! There are no typical stress cracks on the rim or the spokes. (Note about the photos: The light lines in the pictures are pure reflections on the shiny surface). Manufacturer: Original Quillery Paris, marking M576 cleanly embossed on the back. Horn mechanism: Inside everything is complete! The original mechanism for the horn (Cerclo) along with the delicate securing claws, springs and contacts is fully intact and unmodified. The chrome ring springs back smoothly. Mounting: The fine spline at the back for attaching to the steering column is absolutely clean and undamaged.
