Sunburst frame for sacred statues

This object is a radiant halo for sacred statues, saints and/or Baby Jesus (commonly called a halo with rays or nimbus radiating outward), typical of sacred art and nativity scene tradition in Italy. Made of brass, it measures about 38 cm in diameter. As you can see, it has a round slot in the center to fit onto the back/head area of the sacred statues. Observe: my photos are part of the description. Patina on the back and polish on the front As found. In good wear condition given the period, probably mid-19th century or early 19th century, and possibly the mid-XXIII century. It will be carefully packed and shipped by tracked mail. I do not ship outside the EU.
