Refined and elegant travel mechanical alarm watch by Jaeger, dating from the 1950s–1960s. The watch features an ingenious foldable case that folds back on itself with a hinge mechanism, protecting the dial during transport and serving as a stand when opened. Brand: Jaeger Era: About 1950–1960 Dial: Square argenté dial with linen texture (fabric effect), applied markers and gilt hands with period luminescent material. Central additional hand for adjusting the alarm. Case: Two-tone brass case chrome/gold-plated with a satin and polished finish, decorated with gold grooves on the top cover. Back/Controls: On the back are separate winding keys for time and alarm, the hour and alarm adjustment rotors, and the rack-and-pinion adjustment lever +/-. Movement: Manual-wind Jaeger movement with alarm function (power reserve 8 days). Conditions: Original item in generally good conservational condition with patina of age, slight signs of wear and oxidation on the metalwork consistent with the age and originality of the piece. Dial well preserved with sharp graphics.
