TAG Heuer - Seamaster Professional 200M - Men - 2000-2010

TAG Heuer 2000 Professional Chronograph Quartz – Blue Dial – 200M – Steel – professional TAG Heuer 2000 Exclusive Professional Chronograph quartz, a stylish Swiss sports model from the late 1990s / early 2000s, with an attractive blue dial, three-subdial chronograph, date window, and integrated stainless steel bracelet. It features the characteristic case of the TAG Heuer 2000 family, with a steel unidirectional bezel, luminescent marker at 12, the TAG Heuer signed crown, and chronograph pushers. The blue dial features applied luminescent indices, a large 12 numeral, three chronograph subdials, a peripheral scale, and a date window at approximately 4:30. The watch is powered by a Swiss quartz movement with 21 jewels, visible in the photos, with chronograph and date functions. The blue configuration of this family is documented as TAG Heuer 2000 Exclusive Chronograph ref. CN1112. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS Brand: TAG Heuer Collection: 2000 Series / 2000 Exclusive Model: Professional Chronograph Probable reference: CN1112 Era: approx. late 90s / early 2000s Movement: Swiss quartz Jewels: 21 jewels, confirmed in the movement Functions: hours, minutes, seconds, chronograph and date Dial: intense cobalt blue Chronograph: three subdials Date: window between 4 and 5 Case: stainless steel Bezel: steel, 60-minute graduation Crystal: CN1112 is documented with sapphire crystal Crown: TAG Heuer signed Pushers: two chronograph pushers Bracelet: stainless steel Clasp: folding with TAG Heuer emblem Original water resistance: 200 meters Swiss Made: yes DIMENSIONS For the CN1112 family I find documentation around 38–40 mm diameter, depending on how the case is measured; 20 mm lug width and approximately 12 mm thickness. A contemporary/commercial description of the CN1112 specifies 38 × 12 mm and 20 mm between lugs, while WatchCharts catalogs it as 40 × 12 mm. For your piece, until measured physically, I would publish: Case diameter without crown: approx. 38–40 mm With crown: approx. 42 mm Lug-to-lug: approx. 44–45 mm Thickness: approx. 12 mm Bracelet width between lugs: approx. 20 mm BLUE DIAL Arguably the most attractive aspect of the watch. It features a cobalt blue dial with a satin-like finish that changes with light. At 12 there is a large applied 12 numeral, beneath which appears the TAG Heuer shield. In the lower half: PROFESSIONAL — 200 METERS and at 6: SWISS MADE The indices are metallic applied with luminescent inserts, paired with skeletonized/sport hands with luminescent material. The date is located approximately at 4:30, showing the number 6 in the photographs. The blue configuration, steel, chronograph and date closely match documented CN1112 2000 Exclusive Chronograph examples. CHRONOGRAPH The watch has three subdials located roughly at 3, 6 and 9. The outer scale also includes a tachymeter graduation. The slender central seconds hand corresponds to the chronograph, while the subdials manage the auxiliary chronograph/time functions. For the listing I would avoid specifying exactly which counter corresponds to tenths, minutes, or hours until the caliber is confirmed and its operation verified. MOVEMENT Here we have a particularly useful photograph. The movement is unequivocally Swiss quartz. On the plate it reads: SWISS TWENTY-ONE (21) JEWELS The battery, coil windings, and components related to the chronograph functions are also visible. The CN1112 family is commercially documented with a quartz movement and chronograph/date complications. Swiss quartz movement with 21 jewels; exact caliber not verified. CASE AND BEZEL Sporty stainless steel case, characteristic of the 2000 Series. The bezel presents the six characteristic TAG Heuer rider tabs and engraved numerals: 10 – 20 – 30 – 40 – 50 with a luminescent pip at 12. CN1112 is documented with a unidirectional rotating steel bezel. The piece shows scratches, micro-scratches, minor dents and surface wear, especially on the bezel and polished areas. It does not appear NOS nor should it be advertised as such. It is clearly a used piece. CROWN AND PUSHERS The crown is signed with the TAG Heuer shield. On both sides we find the two chronograph pushers. The case, crown and pushers show normal signs of use. BRACELET Stainless steel bracelet with a mix of brushed/polished surfaces and the characteristic TAG Heuer construction. The folding clasp bears the TAG Heuer emblem. It shows wear marks and signs of use. “Steel bracelet with folding clasp signed TAG Heuer. Exact correspondence/reference of the bracelet not verified.” I would not claim “factory original bracelet” until the reference is located engraved on the bracelet/clasp itself. CASE BACK Screw-down steel case back with a large TAG HEUER shield in relief. Below it reads: SWISS SINCE 1860 Shows multiple micro-scratches and signs of use/opening. Therefore, although the configuration matches CN1112 very well, for maximum accuracy I would write: “Configuration corresponding to the blue TAG Heuer 2000 Exclusive Chronograph, usually catalogued as ref. CN1112; reference not visible in the case back photos.” ERA AND HISTORY This design belongs to the evolution of the historic TAG Heuer 2000 Series. TAG Heuer explains that after the 1995 redesign, the range evolved into several branches: 2000 Classic, 2000 Sport and 2000 Exclusive. The Exclusive was the more ambitious version and would directly influence the future Aquaracer family. Quartz chronographs of the 2000 Exclusive appear documented in catalogs around 2000–2001, including references CN1110, CN1111 and other variants. Therefore, for this piece I would use: “Circa 2000 / early 2000s.” Much better than giving an exact year without documentation. CONDITION I would classify it as: Good vintage/polished condition, with evident signs of use. Scratches and micro-scratches on the case, bezel, back, clasp and bracelet; small marks and dirt/residue around the crystal perimeter; bezel wear; and general signs consistent with a sports watch that has been worn. The blue dial maintains an attractive visual presentation. The luminescent material on the hands and indices shows some aging/variation in tone.
