At the center of the composition are four female figures dressed in draped period garments, surrounded by symbolic elements of country life and villa life: a dog, a peacock in the foreground and a goat hitched to a cart. In the background stands an imposing stone staircase leading to a neoclassical castle/villa immersed in greenery.
