Alla auktioner / Mattor & Textilier / The Flight of the Imperial Cranes Among the Clouds of the...
This evocative cotton upholstery fabric presents a refined decorative motif inspired by traditional Japanese art. On an intense brick-red background unfolds a dynamic and harmonious scene in which elegant cranes with wings spread traverse a sky stylized from waves and sinuous clouds. The cranes are depicted with great attention to detail. The white of the feathers contrasts with the black of the wings and with the characteristic red dot on the head, creating a refined and balanced design. Their postures vary with natural grace: some seem to glide slowly while others beat their wings as if driven by the wind. The movement of the sky is rendered through an elegant interweaving of decorative clouds and stylized waves in cream, gold and turquoise tones. This fluid rhythm runs across the entire surface of the fabric, creating a sense of lightness and visual continuity that recalls traditional paintings on paper and silk from the Far East. The result is a fabric with artistic and decorative character, capable of evoking poetic landscapes and contemplative atmospheres typical of classical Japanese art. Made in high-quality cotton upholstery fabric, this fabric features a tight and durable weave that guarantees longevity and excellent stability. The natural surface of the cotton enhances color depth and highlights every detail of the design. The Oeko Tex Standard 100 certification guarantees the absence of harmful substances in the production process, making the fabric safe for use in domestic environments and also ideal for spaces used daily. This fabric is perfect for upholstering armchairs, decorative chairs or small sofas, where the crane motif becomes the centerpiece of the décor. It is also ideal for creating ornamental cushions capable of adding an artistic and refined accent to interiors. It adapts very well for stage curtains, decorative fabric panels or padded headboards, especially in eclectic, oriental or contemporary settings. It can also become a distinctive element in creative studios, boutiques or relaxation spaces. In Japanese culture the crane is one of the most symbolic and beloved animals. According to an ancient legend, whoever folds a thousand origami cranes will have a significant wish granted. This tradition, called Senbazuru, has become over time a universal symbol of hope, longevity and peace. It is not by chance that the crane often appears in fabrics, paintings and decorations of traditional Japanese arts as a good-luck and harmony omen. Measures: 3.00 x 2.80 meters. Washing and Care: To maintain the beauty and quality of your precious fabric over time, it is important to follow a few simple care instructions: Washing: It is recommended to wash the fabric by hand or in a washing machine on a delicate cycle at a maximum temperature of 30°C. Use a mild detergent free of harsh bleaches to preserve vibrant colors. Drying: Avoid the dryer to prevent compromising the fibers. Lay the fabric flat to dry, avoiding prolonged direct sun exposure, which could cause colors to fade. Ironing: Iron the fabric at a low temperature, preferably with a cotton cloth over it, to avoid direct contact with the iron and keep the surface immaculate. Professional cleaning: If used for upholstery of furniture or large surfaces, professional dry cleaning is recommended for safer and longer-lasting maintenance. Following these simple guidelines, your fabric will maintain its splendor and integrity over time, continuing to enhance your spaces with class and refinement. Fabric
