Set of 2 decorative eggs – The Wonderful World of Eggs – Models “Vieux Paris” and “Dresde” – Franklin Mint Editions Stunning pair of decorative eggs from the prestigious collection The Wonderful World of Eggs, published by Franklin Mint. This set comprises the models "Vieux Paris" and "Dresde", each remarkable for their refinement, decorative richness, and evocation of the great traditions of European porcelain. Egg Vieux Paris: A tribute to French porcelain of the 18th and 19th centuries, this decorative egg features an elegant pink background called "Pompadour", adorned with a delicately painted floral bouquet. It recalls the precious works from the Parisian hard-paste manufactories, long reserved for the elite under the royal monopoly established by Louis XV. This model gracefully evokes Rococo style and the luxury of the era. Egg Dresde: Inspired by Meissen porcelain, this model pays homage to the so-called "Dresden" style, famous for its Oriental and animal motifs that were very in vogue in the 18th century. Decorated with stunning exotic birds and delicate foliage, this egg reflects the German tradition of exceptional porcelain art. Its colorful and gilded decoration testifies to Meissen’s enduring influence on the history of European porcelain.
