Themed collection - Lot de 2 Œufs décoratifs – Le Monde...

Superb pair of decorative eggs from the prestigious collection Le Monde Merveilleux des Œufs, published by Franklin Mint. This lot comprises an elegant floral low-relief decorated egg and an egg inspired by the famous Delft pottery. Two refined pieces that pay homage to the great European decorative arts traditions. Floral low-relief egg: Charming decorative egg in white porcelain, adorned with delicate floral motifs sculpted in relief. Its decoration combines flowers, elegant swirls and small enamelled ornaments in soft pastel shades of pink, green and blue. Inspired by the traditions of European ornamental porcelain, this model stands out for the finesse of its reliefs and its romantic aesthetics. The delicately worked motifs add depth and elegance to this particularly decorative piece. Its gilded base harmoniously completes the ensemble and highlights the refinement of its realization. Delft Style Egg: Inspired by the famous Delft earthenware, produced in the Netherlands since the 17th century, this elegant decorative egg pays homage to one of Europe’s most emblematic ceramic traditions. Made of white glazed earthenware, it features a stunning blue decor depicting a pastoral scene with figures in a wooded landscape. The blue tones on a white background recall the historic creations of Dutch manufactories, themselves influenced by Chinese porcelains imported to Europe. This model delights with the finesse of its painting, its classic elegance and its timeless character. Its gilded base adds an extra touch of refinement.
