Timeless Ring with an Untreated Ruby & Diamonds in Platinum, from Our Workshop

This platinum ring from our workshop features a precious ruby as its centerpiece. The oval-faceted stone, weighing approximately 1.21 carats, glows with an intense and vibrant red: Its interior has a silky appearance—not entirely transparent, yet translucent enough that light reflections glow deep within the stone when the ring is moved in sunlight. It is a high-quality, untreated stone, most likely from East Africa. The stone is framed by eleven brilliant-cut diamonds, while two additional diamonds on the right and left elegantly extend toward the ring band. The design is inspired by classic Belle Époque “entourage” rings, when gemstones surrounded by diamonds were among the most popular forms of jewelry. We were able to acquire the ruby from the old inventory of a goldsmith here in Berlin. This is the first time it has been incorporated into a piece of jewellery. The ring’s diamonds are also vintage stones, which we have deliberately reused in this piece to make the jewellery as sustainable as possible. The platinum used also comes from older pieces of jewellery that could no longer be restored. The ring is therefore as sustainable as possible and made entirely in Germany. An independent appraisal has confirmed the quality of the materials.
