A particularly interesting ultra-wide zoom for the Nikon photographer. The Tokina AT-X 116 PRO DX II belongs to the professional AT-X PRO series and combines an exceptionally wide field of view with a constant f/2.8 brightness. The lens is no longer in production, making a well-kept example like this an attractive addition for both the photographer and the enthusiast of high-quality Nikon F lenses. Condition The lens is in very neat condition with only minimal signs of use. The black housing is well cared for and shows only light signs appropriate to careful use. The inscriptions and control rings are neat and clearly legible. There are no noteworthy cosmetic damages that disturb the overall beautiful appearance. The lens makes a solid and professional impression, fully in keeping with the high-quality AT-X PRO series. Optics The optics are in very neat and clear condition. The front element is further protected by a B+W protective filter, providing extra shielding against dust, fingerprints and light damage during use. The optical design consists of 13 elements in 11 groups, with aspherical elements and Super-Low Dispersion glass. Tokina developed this optical design with an eye toward high sharpness and contrast, while correcting optical aberrations and distortion as much as possible. The constant maximum aperture of f/2.8 makes this lens especially suitable for low-light photography and for creating a pronounced perspective. Mechanical Zoom and focus mechanisms operate smoothly and precisely. Thanks to internal focusing (IF), the physical length of the lens does not change during focusing. The characteristic One-Touch Focus Clutch from Tokina allows switching directly between autofocus and manual focus. The Nikon version of the DX II is equipped with an internal quiet autofocus motor, allowing autofocus on Nikon DSLR cameras without built-in AF drive. Accessories The lot is complete with: Original Tokina hood Original front lens cap Original rear lens cap B+W protective filter The original Tokina hood for this model is the BH-77B. The included B+W protective filter is a valuable addition for everyday use and ensures that the front lens of the lens is extra protected during photography.
