• Hand Signed by the Artist • Original Acrylic Painting on Canvas • Inspired by Picasso’s “Femme assise accoudée” (1939) • From the Celebrated “Inspired By” Collection • Unique, One-of-a-Kind Artwork • Certificate of Authenticity Included • Ready to Display This exceptional original painting by veteran Disney artist Tony Fernandez reimagines Donald Duck through Pablo Picasso’s celebrated “Femme assise accoudée” (1939), a portrait of Marie-Thérèse Walter now held in the collection of the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía in Madrid. Donald takes the place of Picasso’s seated figure, adopting the distinctive pose and fragmented geometry of the original composition. His unmistakable sailor outfit is transformed through angular planes, distorted perspectives and bold areas of blue, white and red, while the rich terracotta background echoes the atmosphere of Picasso’s portrait. Executed entirely by hand in acrylic on canvas, the piece creates a fascinating dialogue between two icons of 20th-century visual culture: the expressive language of Picasso and the timeless personality of Donald Duck. ▸ Original acrylic painting on canvas ▸ Format: 41 x 31 x 2 cm ▸ Unique, hand-painted original ▸ Hand signed by the artist Tony Fernandez is a veteran Disney artist with more than 35 years of professional experience.
