Tony Fernandez - Mickey Mouse

• Hand Signed by the Artist • Published Original Disney Comic Art Page • Features Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck & Goofy • Certificate of Authenticity Included • Story Code: H 2021-042 - Page 15 • Published across Europe This exceptional original Disney comic page by Tony Fernandez was created for the published story “The Rich Man Race” (“De rijkeluisrace”), production code H 2021-042. Page 15 is particularly attractive for collectors, bringing together three of Disney’s most iconic characters: Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy. Across eight dynamic panels, the action moves rapidly from comic mishaps to a speeding train, motorcycle and classic cars, creating a page packed with movement and traditional Disney storytelling. Executed by hand in black ink, the page displays the precision behind professional Disney comic production. Strong character expressions, confident linework, speed effects and carefully composed vehicles give every panel energy, while the visible blue production pencil and editorial references preserve its authentic studio character. Unlike a standalone illustration, this is genuine published production art: the unique original page used in the creation of an officially published Disney story. Its combination of Mickey, Donald and Goofy, multiple action scenes and documented publication history makes Page 15 a particularly desirable example from the story. “The Rich Man Race” follows Donald and Mickey as they compete on behalf of two wealthy men, while Goofy searches for a treasure. Their separate adventures eventually converge in a humorous race driven by rivalry, fortune and friendship. The story was first published in the Netherlands in Donald Duck 2022-03 and subsequently appeared in several European Disney publications: Denmark: Anders And & Co. 2023-10 (2023), “Det store vædeløb” Finland: Aku Ankka 2023-18 (2023), “Äverikköralli” Netherlands: Donald Duck 2022-03 (2022), “De rijkeluisrace” Sweden: Kalle Anka & C 2023-10 (2023), “Ett race för de rika” Norway: Donald Duck & Co 2023-10 (2023), “Huttaheitifjellenes gylne pokal” ▸ Original ink on art board ▸ Format: 50 × 32 cm (unframed) ▸ Story code: H 2021-042 - Page 15 ▸ Created in 2021 ▸ Published original Disney comic art ▸ Published in multiple European editions ▸ Hand signed by the artist Tony Fernandez is a veteran Disney artist with more than 35 years of professional experience.
