Two iron necklaces, Dogon, Mali, 19th-20th centuries

Descriptio Wrought iron and stone. Measurements: 60 cm in length. Set consisting of two necklaces made from wrought iron combined with stone, arranged in an ornamental and possibly ritualistic composition. The pieces feature a simple, geometric design, with an alternation of materials that creates a contrast between the metallic texture and the stone elements. The iron surface retains a dark patina, oxidation, and signs of use, while the stone shows surface wear consistent with handling and the age of the pieces. Lot in international warehouse (within the EU). Intra-EU shipping: no import duties apply within the EU. An export permit from the country of origin may be required. Due to its age and history of use, this lot may show signs of wear and previous interventions. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, no specialized technical testing has been performed. The absence of any mention of restorations does not guarantee that none exist. You may request additional information before placing a bid. This does not affect the buyer’s statutory rights.
