Umbrella stand/rack - Gilt brass - Umbrella stand / flower vase

Umbrella stand / floor vase in Gio Ponti style – hammered brass (55 cm) – Italy, 1950s/1960s Description Elegant piece of Italian artisanal production dating from the Mid-Century period (1950s/60s). The slender inverted cone trunk form and the upper crown crafted in intertwined arc-shaped brass wire strongly recall the lines and style of Gio Ponti. Originally designed as a high-end umbrella stand, today it stands out in international interior design (Mid-Century or Hollywood Regency styles), also used as a floor vase for decorative branches and floral arrangements. Technical Details: • Country of origin: Italy • Material: Brass with a fully hammered body • Dimensions: Height 55 cm | Upper diameter: 22 cm | Weight: 3 kg • Marks: Handmade artisanal production from the period, unsigned. Condition (Vintage): The piece has been recently cleaned by hand and presents a polished, structurally solid condition with an intact bottom.
