Unbekannt - Table service (7) - 800 silver / solid silver - Solid

Massive 800 Silver – Masterful Handicraft in the Classical Style For sale is an exceptionally magnificent and very rare 5-piece tea and coffee service made from solid 800 silver. The entire set impresses with its timeless, elegant design featuring fine, waved gadroon patterns (rib ornamentation) and noble Baroque relief and shell decorations that create a fascinating play of light. The absolute centerpiece of this ensemble is the monumental silver Samovar (tea machine/tilting water boiler on a warming stand), whose base is decorated with ornate, pierced ornaments. The service is completed by a very large, heavy presentation tray with a scalloped edge. The elegant handles serve as decorative insulators. According to a report from a qualified ivory expert, they are genuine ivory, dated to the period 1960–1970. Condition: The service is described as being in very beautiful, well-kept overall condition. It shows a fine, authentic patina and minimal, age-related surface characteristics that are typical for historic silverware. No major damage or deep dents. (Please refer to the high-resolution photos for an exact impression). The set comprises 7 pieces: - Large Samovar / Tilting boiler on an ornate stand with original burner (Samovar with Stand & Burner) - Coffee pot / Large pot (Tall Coffee Pot) - Teapot / Bulbous pot (Teapot) - Covered sugar bowl with lid (Covered Sugar Bowl) - Milk / Cream jug (Milk / Cream Jug) - Large presentation plate / Serving tray (Large Scalloped Serving Tray) Technical data / Details: Material: Real solid silver (finest 800 stamped/engraved) Total weight: approx. 5,310 grams (including the heat-insulating handles) Era of the handles: 1960–1970
