(◊) UNITED ARAB EMIRATES. United Arab Emirates Currency Board. 50

(◊) UNITED ARAB EMIRATES. United Arab Emirates Currency Board. 50 Dirhams, ND (1973). P-4a. PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ. The first series of the United Arab Emirates, replacing the notes issued by the Qatar & Dubai Currency Board. While the three lowest denominations are found with relative ease, even at the Gem Uncirculated level, the higher denominations are a different story, including the 50 Dirhams seen here. An attractive and entirely original Gem, this example would be perfect for an advanced and high-grade type set of this important series. It has fresh paper, original color, and exceptional eye-appeal. We really can't find any faults, and it is overall a very attractive example of the type.
