Figurative porcelain biscuit group – Unterweissbach – Made in GDR – pastoral scene Description Elegant figurative group in white biscuit porcelain, depicting a pastoral scene inspired by the Rococo taste of the 18th century. The composition shows a young woman seated accompanied by an animal, holding a rich decoration of grape clusters and foliage, while a standing young man plays a wind instrument. The sculpture stands out for the finesse of its molding: delicate faces, hands and fingers carefully worked, folds of clothing, grape clusters, foliage and many small relief details. The base bears a crowned blue mark as well as the inscription “Made in GDR”, attributed to the German manufactory Unterweissbach, Thuringia. Dimensions: Height: approx. 18 cm Width: approx. 15 cm Weight: approx. 852 g Condition: very good overall considering the age. The delicate elements visible in the photographs are well preserved.
