A procession of porters carrying covered transport palanquins moves along a steep mountain road bordered by a dense row of traditional thatched post-town buildings and a sheer green hillside. The sheet features a vertical red series cartouche reading TÅkaidÅ gojÅ«san tsugi alongside the station title block, an unbordered cursive poetic inscription integrated directly across the upper sky field, and the standard artist block signature reading Hiroshige ga at the left margin line.
