An iconic and rare Belgian Art Deco pressed glass vase, model 'Egmont' (Catalog number 94), designed in 1935 by Charles Graffart and René Delvenne for the famous Luxval collection of Val Saint-Lambert. This specific example is rendered in a highly sought-after and elegant amethyst/bordeaux purple color. What makes this vase extra special and decorative are the characteristic gilded (gold-colored) horizontal bands on the corners, which beautifully contrast with the geometric star motifs and matte textures in the glass. The vase features the partially preserved, original Luxval factory sticker.
